Wow! Our 50th Artist Spotlight feature already! Betty Who is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician. Her musical style is a mixture of 80s retro-pop music that is all about having fun and going out to dance and party. Her musical influences include many pop stars from the 80s as well as current pop stars such as Katy Perry and Britney Spears. She’s a big fan of live concert events and one of her favorite events is a Britney Spears concert in Las Vegas that she was able to attend. She grew up in Australia but moved to the USA when she was 16 years old to attend Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan. Betty Who’s debut EP ‘The Movement’ was released on April 16, 2013.Betty Who’s debut single, ‘Somebody Loves You,’ was initially released independently as a free download. A viral video of a man proposing to his boyfriend Dustin in a flash mob dance routine at a Salt Lake City, Utah Home Depot included Betty Who’s single in the background and helped her song gain international attention. In 2013, Betty Who signed with RCA Records to record and release her official debut album.
