Jessica Gomes is an Australian model who has appeared in six editions of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She is of Portuguese/Chinese descent. Gomes’ mother sent her to modelling classes at Linda-Ann Model Academy at the age of 13. In 2004, she signed with IMG Models. She models mostly in Asia as opposed to Europe as she believes that mixed-heritage models are more successful in that part of the world. She’s had a very successful modeling career in South Korea and has participated in various advertising campaigns for many South Korean companies. She has appeared in advertisements for Hyundai Sonata and LG Cyon Bikini Phone. In the USA, she has appeared in the publications ‘Vogue’, ‘Teen Vogue’, ‘Glamour’, ‘American Glamour’, ‘Maxim’ and ‘Victoria’s Secret catalog’. She has modeled for American clothing retailers Rocawear, DKNY Jeans and Levi’s. In addition, she has done advertising campaigns for American companies like Motorola and Urban Outfitters. While she lived in New York City, she studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. In 2009, her reality TV-show ‘My Name Is Jessica Gomes’ was launched on the English language Korean television network ‘On Style’ owned by On-Media. Also, she’s a great dancer and has participated in the Korean version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
