In 2002, Cky released the Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild LP and were about to go on tour with the newly formed Guns and Roses but the tour quickly fizzled and Cky were left without a chance to showcase their talents. Recently bassist Vern Zaborowski left the group but the group went onward with a new album (An Answer Can be Found) that will be released in the summer of 2005. Cky won’t need Bam this time around for any promotion as the band and the films have already developed a huge cult following and their new album should help them gain some well inspired mainstream attention from the media and the music industry and hopefully will be a breakout band in 2005.you can see more of Cky and download their latest single over at http://www.islandrecords.com/cky/

I’ve been mostly doing bands lately so I think it’s time to switch things up a little bit and introduce a new solo act for once. She is the brand new R&B sensation Amerie. Amerie grew up on many military bases while she was young as her father was in the military. She learned different styles of music from her parents with classical influences from her mother and R&B influences from her father. She studied dance early on and entered herself into many different talent contests along the way.

Her family eventually settled back down in the United States and she attended Georgetown University where she received a degree in English and Fine Arts. While living in Washington D.C , she met producer Rich Harrison , who had worked with acts like Mary J. Blige and started to make some demos with him. She was eventually signed to Columbia Records in 2002. Her first single , ‘Why Don’t We Fall In Love’ reached the top 20 in its first week and her debut album went gold. She then headlined two successful tours and also had a role in a successful Hollywood film, ‘First Daughter’ which starred Katie Holmes. She also helped develop and star in the hit BET show ‘The Center ‘ which reached the highest ratings for its time slot on BET. Amerie’s new album features a more sexier version of Amerie than her previous album and also features a more empowering message to her fans about many issues. Her new album also has appearances by such favorites as Carl Thomas,Lil’ Jon, Nas and Eve to add to her successful resume of collaborations. Critics have described her new album has the most anticipated R&B album of 2005 so let’s hope you check out her new album ‘Touch’ which is in stores now.

The Bravery are a post-punk dance rock act that formed in New York in 2003. They were signed not long after debuting in Brooklyn with a few gigs by Island Def Jam in The United States and Loog in The UK. They released an EP in 2005 which quickly garnered acclaim from critics and major media outlets like MTV and Rolling Stone. The band’s name comes from the fact that they live in New York City during such a time of fear. The band felt that living in New York City meant never knowing when the next bad thing is about to happen so they called the band ‘The Bravery’ to say that they weren’t going to put up with that crap and were going to not live in a state of fear.

The band has an electronic sound to them even though they’ve not really listened to any previous electronic bands before them. They just like the style alot and plan to use it whenever they feel it’s right in a song. Their debut self titled album came out in 2005 and they will currently be on tour with the band Ash for a few months so check them out whenever possible.
