Fred Allen was an American comedian whose absurdist, pointed radio show (1934–1949) made him one of the most popular and forward-looking humourists in the so-called classic era of American radio. He also did television appearances for various programs and also had his very own show entitled the Frank Allen show on NBC. A one-time skeptic of the television due to all of his years in radio, Fred gave a great quote about television which helps to display our site’s vision of what the television represents.
