Troll 2 is a 1990 B-movie horror film. It’s considered one of the worst films ever made. The film was originally supposed to be called ‘Goblins’ but the American distributors didn’t think that it could stand alone by itself and decided to call it Troll 2 and market it as a sequel to the 1986 Empire Pictures film ‘Troll’. Troll 2 doesn’t even contain one single troll in the entire flick and has no connection or plot points with the original film whatsoever. The movie was shot by an Italian film director and his wife along with an Italian film crew who all spoke very little english. The film was shot in Utah with actors whom were auditioning for the first time and had very little acting experience prior to the making of this film. The director and film crew’s lack of English didn’t help matters and led to many arguments and misunderstandings between the director and the actors. The plot of the movie is about a bunch of goblins who eat people and turn them into plant food. Despite the film’s horrible reviews, it has developed a large cult fanbase who know all the famous quotes from the film asthe movie can be seen regularly at late night movie theaters. The strange success of the film also helped to create a 2010 documentary entitled ‘Best Worst Movie’ which was directed by Micheal Stephenson, the original child star in Troll 2.
