There have been plenty of famous movie quotes over the years. But none of these quotes have been said as eloquently as the one by actor Rutger Hauer in the film Blade Runner right before he’s trying to kill someone. We reach the climax of the film where the replicant Roy Batty and Harrison Ford are fighting one another on a rooftop in the rain. Deckard is about to slip and fall to his doom when Batty delivers one of sci-fi’s greatest quotes and a personal favorite of ours if you ever want to give a speech before killing someone. Unfortunately, Batty was only a replicant (not human) and his body would shut down before he could deliver the final blow to Deckard but not before leaving us with this great quote…

“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams … glitter in the dark near Tanhauser Gate. All those … moments will be lost … in time, like tears … in rain. Time … to die.” – Roy Batty

Snap, Crackle and Pop! are the cartoon characters used in various commercials for Kellogg’s breakfast cereal Rice Krispies. They were created by illustrator Vernon Grant who created the characters after being inspired by one of Kellogg’s early radio ads. He would go on to show the illustrations to Kellogg’s who bought the rights to the characters and illustrations on the spot. The illustrations show Snap,Crackle and Pop as elves with Snap as a baker, Pop as a soldier and Crackle’s occupation being up to debate due to it constantly changing over the years. The ads were first targeted to young children’s shows soon after the invention of the television and have been growing strong ever since. The elves always say their favorite quote in all of their ads to describe the sound that the cereal makes when added with water and that quote is…

Mentos is a popular brand of mints sold in many markets across the world by the Perfetti Van Melle Corporation. The mints are small oblate spheroids, with a slightly hard exterior and a soft, chewy interior. Part of Mentos’ popularity can be attributed to its funny and campy commercials. The commercials usually feature an individual with some form of a dilmemna or problem that needs to find a resolution as fast as possible. The joke comes when the individual consumes a mentos product and then is able to find a solution to their problem in a humorous manner. The commercials also feature individuals that are critical of the protagonist in the story until they show them that they had just consumed a mentos product and then the antagonist understands the behavior and reasoning of the protagonist due to their consumption of the mentos candy and they both have a laugh. It was also recently discovered that if you put a mentos candy into a diet soda (preferably diet coke) that it will cause the soft drink to foam uncontrollably and to explode like a geyser. The explosion has since produced various stunts at trying to cause the largest mentos-soda geyser in the Guinness Book of World Records. If that doesn’t impress you; we don’t know what will. This is why we love Mentos and are making this fresh candy our quote of the month with their favorite slogan…

“The Freshmaker!” – Mentos
