We’ve done 2/3 next generation video game systems so far and finally we complete our video game system review with the winner of the past video game generation: The Playstation 3. It’s easy to see why the Playstation system did so well before. It came out at a time when consumers were looking to purchase affordable DVD players and had easy programming for video game programmers which helped to create a large amount of high quality video game characters and franchises. Since then, the XBOX 360 has stepped in early trying to beat Sony to the punch when it comes to high end technical gaming with new technology and strong graphics based video games. Let’s start with the highs and lows as usual.

Highs:
-Blue Ray Drive.
-Backwards Compatible with old playstation games.
-High end hardware makes it future-proof.
-High end graphics with 1080p capabilities.
-HDMI Input.

Lows:
-System is massive
-Price.
-No force feedback controller.
-System smudges a lot.
-Different price structures are missing certain key elements.

-runs quietly.
-Controller slots and media player slots are well hidden and protected
-Nintendo first party titles on launch

Lows:

Harry Houdini was a magician, escape artist and stunt performer. He’s the one magician that every rookie magician wants to imitate. His career started off slow but soon his escape acts would catch the world’s attention. He would go on to perform such great escape acts like freeing himself from jails, handcuffs, chains, ropes, and straitjackets, often while hanging from a rope in plain sight of street audiences. His acts would often involve a large degree of danger or even death and would cause large audiences to gather whenever he performed one of his acts. He also spent a large amount of his time debunking mediums or psychics and calling them out as frauds. He was a believer in science and not spirituality and believed that the mind was the most powerful asset of a human being. Here is one of his better quotes discussing the human mind.

“What the eye see and the ears hear, the mind believes.” – Harry Houdini

Many sports teams like to employ mascots to help garner more attention for their team and to help boost morale at key points during a match. Some popular mascots include the current Montreal Canadians mascot Youpi as well as the Gorilla from the Phoenix Suns organization. Unfortunately, not all mascots can have a cool name or neat costume as we shall see in a few seconds. Some organizations just have no clue what to call their mascots or have no idea how to market them with our listing of our top 10 worst sports mascots.

10. Izzy

-Normally when you stray from tradition and decide to create a mascot that is supposed to be some type of creature living inside the Olympic Torch; you know you’re in trouble. Izzy proved to be very unpopular as the Olympic mascot and can now go and crawl back to his hiding spot underneath the torch for good.

9. Stuff the Magic Dragon

-If you haven’t guessed it already, Stuff the Magic Dragon is supposed to be a takeoff of Puff the Magic Dragon. You would think that with a name like the Orlando Magic that they could get a magician as a mascot or at least have David Copperfield stop by every once and a while for a performance. Instead, they deliver to the public a dragon that looks like he took one too many puffs of whatever his relative dragon was smoking and became retarded. (more…)
