Warpaint is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. They have also shared the stage with ‘The xx’, ‘Band of Horses’, ‘Yeasayer’, ‘Akron Family’, ‘Javelin’, and ‘The Walkmen’. LA Times Columnist Todd Martens wrote an article describing the band’s style as ‘Combining the dense, shadowy mood of some early Cure with the sonic drift of Mazzy Star and Cat Power’s more hazy vocal work, Warpaint occupies a challenging space where the mood can vary from deep woods come-down to fierce primal ritual’. In 2009, they self-released their debut EP,’ Exquisite Corpse’ which was mixed by former ‘Red Hot Chili Peppers’ guitarist John Frusciante. Warpaint were signed to Rough Trade Records, and immediately began extensive touring throughout the United States and Europe. In 2010, the band released their first full-length album entitled ‘The Fool’. To support and market their album, the band played at various major festivals including ‘Summer Sundae’, ‘Bonnaroo’, ‘Glastonbury Festival’, ‘Reading and Leeds Festivals’, ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’, ‘Rock Werchter’ and ‘Electric Picnic’. The album received a glowing review in the NME musical publication. In January 2014, the band released ‘Warpaint’ which is their second studio album and was produced by Flood (Mark Ellis) and the band itself. The album was preceded by the single, ‘Love Is to Die’. The single was released on October 28 with the pre-ordered digital version of the album.

Haim is an American rock band hailing from Los Angeles, California. The sisters, Este, Danielle, and Alana, grew up in San Fernando, California playing classic rock songs with their parents in a family band, called ‘Rockinhaim’ , which played for charity events and street fairs. After years of playing with their parents, the girls decided to strike out on their own, and began writing their own material. Danielle and Este were originally members of ‘The Valli Girls’, an all-girl group that was signed to Columbia Records/Sony Records. It wasn’t until after both sisters graduated from college when they decided to get more serious about music and formed their own band. Youngest sister Alana spent one year in college before dropping out to join the band with her sisters. The band later added drummer Dash Hutton who was previously a member of the bands ‘Wires on Fire’ and ‘Slang Chicken’. All three sisters are proficient on more than one instrument: Este plays both guitar and bass, Danielle plays guitar and drums, and Alana plays guitar, keyboards and percussion. Over the past few years, the band has opened up for Julian Casablancas, Cold War Kids, Ke$ha, Group Love, No Age, The Bird and the Bee, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Chief and The Henry Clay People. In 2012, Haim supported Mumford & Sons on their US tour and then supported Florence and the Machine on their UK and Ireland tour. In March 2013, Haim was named one of Fuse TV’s 30 must-see artists at SXSW. Haim’s first release was a three song EP entitled ‘Forever’. In September 2013, they released their first full-length album entitled ‘Days Are Gone’. The band released ‘The Wire’ as a single on July 29, 2013.
