Jersey Shore is an American reality television program that premiered on MTV in 2009. The show is about a bunch of men and women from New York and New Jersey who stay near the Jersey Shore in a house and the plot is very much similar to another MTV reality program – MTV’s ‘Real World’. The show has been criticized for its portrayal of Italian-Americans but has been getting record ratings for MTV. One of the more interesting characters on the show is Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino. His nickname is based on the nickname he gave to his abs and he is often discussing his GTL (Gym, Tanning, Laundry) philosophy with current castmember and friend Pauly D. He is one of the more outspoken cast members and when he’s not at the gym he’s often trying to get girls at the club to come back to the Jersey Shore house and sleep with him. The Situation is no Shakespeare but he is known to come up with funny quotes to try and impress a girl or to lighten the tension in the house. Here is the situation describing how he is not only a funny guy but can also be pretty serious as well…
