The Answer are a hard rock band from Northern Ireland. The band was formed by guitarist Paul Mahon in 2001. The band received attention as early as 2002 and were contracted by MCD Promotions in Ireland to perform as the opening act at the Witnness Festival. They released their debut album ‘Rise’ on June 26, 2006. The band would tour throughout the UK and Europe and was the opening act for such bands as Whitesnake as well as Aerosmith when the Answer opened up for them at the Hyde Park Calling Festival in 2007. Due to fan complaints, the band would re-issue a special edition version of their album ‘Rise’ with a second CD full of B-Sides and downloadable singles that weren’t originally included on the initial release of the album. In the Summer of 2007, the band would continue to tour and were the opening acts for such legendary bands as the Rolling Stones and The Who. In 2008 they signed with indie record label ‘The End Records’ in order to gain more mainstream attention in North America. They released a new EP entitled ‘Never too Late’ that featured a song from the album ‘Rise’ as well as a brand new song from their new album ‘Everyday Demons’. The EP helped to give the band more exposure as they were recently named the opening act for the North American and European stops on AC/DC’s Black Ice World Tour. Their second album ‘Everyday Demons’ was released in March of 2009 and is currently available worldwide.
